SAST Board 2025–2026
A new board is elected at the annual meeting, which takes place in the spring. At this meeting, the nomination committee presents its proposal for board members and auditor, and the annual meeting then decides to approve or suggest alternative candidates. If you, as a member, are interested in joining and working on the board, you should contact the nomination committee well in advance of the annual meeting. We are a non-profit board within SAST, with a number of different areas of responsibility and tasks distributed among the board members. Feel free to reach out to any of us on the board to learn more about what a board position entails.
After the board is elected at the annual meeting, a constitutive board meeting is held, during which the board internally elects a chairperson, treasurer, and other internal roles. Board meetings are held 4–6 times a year, where we make decisions regarding upcoming member meetings, finances, and other activities. For each member meeting, at least two people are appointed to be responsible for planning and organizing the event.
